No cracks or chips. It appears to have been painted over as the finish is matte and the paint has some very small chips. It was done well, the paint chips are only noticeable close up, would not be noticeable on display. It is asthetically appealing as is but it could also possibly be restored and the paint removed. Great find if you're into restoration. Please carefully review photos prior to purchase.
